Has he won anything of consequence or led his team to this? No, there is your answer. He came in as a rookie and was hot, then his play regressed and now he's found his game again. When he is amongst the league leaders between the pipes for several years in a row or several years in short order (as every goalie can have a down year) then this conversation would carry some merit.
Right now he's a guy having a great year, plain and simple. |

Holtby is certainly not the best goaltender in the league yet , but, at the moment, the 24 year old is quickly becoming a stud and the workload he's facing isn't something he's shying away from. |
